Cool The Falcon finally lands inside XBox 360!!

The Falcon has Landed: 65nm CPUs appear in XBox 360

65nm "Falcon" CPUs and revised heatsinks found in latest Xbox 360 "Halo 3" hardware

Knew about Microsoft’s mysterious Project Falcon? Sure you do. It’s the codename for the redesigned Microsoft Xbox 360 console that uses smaller chips with smaller die size. And now the Falcon has landed on the new

We have seen big guns like Intel, AMD moving to smaller sized chips in the computer world. And now its the time for Microsoft through its 65nm architecture for their hot box XBox 360 "Halo 3" edition which is named as Falcon.

Gamers have been waiting for months for the arrival of 65nm Xbox 360 chips, with the hope that the cooler-running processor would mean more stable hardware.

Microsoft’s latest console may be home to some of the best software, but in terms of hardware, the Xbox 360 is commonly thought to be unreliable.
But it is thought that these new 65nm babies are going to deliver performance.

Quote:
A brave individual with the Gamertag “JWSpeed” dissected his new Halo 3 Special edition console to discover inside a new, simplified heatsink design. Upon further inspection and the removal of the heatsink, a new CPU branded with a “CANADA” label rests on the motherboard.

We can notice that the new sooling system is less intense than older system, indicating that these chips are going to run cooler than their predecessors. One more fact is that the use of these new 65nm chips is a cost-cutting path for Microsoft as they will be cheaper to fabricate.

However there's always a BUT in everything, it is the same in case of new XBox 360s. Actually its only the CPU which has moved into 65nm section and not the GPU. So cannot tell whether it solves all the current instability problems of Xbox, until its out and running.

Huh? I thought the Falcon was already nestled and brooding over it's polygonized eggs by now. I guess better late than never. I also doubt anyone will know the difference.

The HaloX360 looks pretty hot too.
