Monitors Which DELL monitor should i buy? IPS OR VA

I am also thinking of upgrading from my current 2407-HC and if you should stretch your budget,i would suggest the U3011. Have one in the office and its mind blowing. Simply monstrous.
 
Those prices are awesome i recently got my U2412M replaced with a U2312HM by Dell and researched S2440L a lot since that was an alternative to my U2312HM. The S2440L had a very visible screen door effect which the S2340L will share due to its similar construction, other thing is the dam things are super duper reflective.

If you can extend your budget get a U2312HM or a U2412M i am guessing 3-4K extra on top of those prices, you will enjoy the matted display and the extra flexibility not to mention the perfect OD.

EDIT2: The guy has VG23AH and that also for just Rs.19K online and maybe 17-18K offline. This is a very good monitor you should totally get it if you have enough money, i was searching for it before i bought U2412M and could not find it anywhere. The display is IPS and 3D it has the best of both worlds not to mention excellent 3D VA's my cosin has one and other than some backlight bleed its perfect.
 
i don't want to use a 16:10 monitor that's why i skipped the u2412m , the price quoted was around 17.5k .After lot of thinking i am planning to get the S2740L ips display , 1920*1080 res.

27inchs with 1080p means 81.59 PPI where as U2412M gets you 94.34 PPI similar to 95.78 PPI in U2312HM. To put this in perspective a 20inch with 1366*768 has a PPI of 78.35.

How much is the S2740L for???

That 30incher is in excess of 60k,only very few can afford it.
 
Budget is not an issue but i don't want to enter the 2560 res arena , if i do then i have to upgrade my gpu every 6 months . To be on the safe side 1920 * 1080 res is my best bet. This S2740l suits me its 27 inches , it has ips panel and its 1080p.
