I had got this lesion on my head since 4 week approx, sometime it get scratched from comb and starts bleeding. Visited local doctor, he is asking to go for surgery :(

Since my family doctor is currently out of coverage area and no one in home, i am planning to wait for 3 weeks more.

Just need suggestion from doctor here, should i go for surgery or wait, or its just a normal lesion which will disappear with time :ashamed:

cant make out properly due to quality of photograph. most likely its a mole or sebaceous cyst. Both are benign conditions. If troubling you then you can get it excised by a surgeon.

Don't worry - it is fairly common - a wart. Warts are caused by some virus. There is no cure. Don't scratch too much, they do spread!

Will not cause you any problem - unless you are getting your head clean-haven - in such case if, the barber is not careful it would get cut & bleed well for some time.

They do not irritate. So one option - leave it alone. If you want removal : cauterization (electric) is a simple procedure. Available with skin specialists.

In case you find them spreading, talk to a skin specialist.

******** BTW, I am not a doctor, but what I wrote above is correct! ***********

Ok let me check and operate it. I will take care of his injuries for sure.

Seriously you need to go the doc and check it out.

:23:prick it with a needle .. see what comes out ..

Whenever it get scratched, lot of blood comes out of it..
@Jambumali thx for the opinion, i think i should wait for my doctor to come back, and then get it treated :)

I was having fear that it don't turns out to be some big problem aka some infection or something caused by some parasite

@Being.smart you should be visiting your family physician instead of seeking answers from tech site's members. I hope he has returned by now. And yes, do take multiple opinions before opting for surgery.

^ yup he has returned, i hadn't looked at it since 2 months, but the present pics has made me started worrying about it :(

Anyway its always better to have tips from many docs, and i know lots of docs are active in TE B-)

Taken appointment with my doc @ Saturday :)

I am no doc, but I have seen that before as medpal suggested, needs to be excised. If I remember correctly it can take root and spread, therefore the earlier the better.
