Budget 31-40k Want a 15.6" general purpose i5 laptop for B.Com student

My son is a B.Com student and going to join a post graduate diploma course in Finance Planning from June'14. I want to purchase a laptop for him :
1) Price range : Rs. 30-40k
2) Processor : i5 3rd gen or i5 4th gen.
3) Screen : 15.6" (no touch screen)
4) Graphics : On board graphics is sufficient as gaming is not intended.
5) RAM : 4 GB minimum
6) Keyboard and Touchpad : Should be good for long work.
7) Thickness and weight : He will carry the laptop everyday in Delhi metro to his college, so may be around 2 kg.
8) Brands: Should be reliable with good After Sales Service in NCR.
9) Connectivity: Should have good and consistent WiFi connectivity.
10) Storage : 500 GB minimum
11) Battery: Should be decent - at least 3-4 hours
12) Operating system : Windows 7. (Heard about issues with Windows 8)
 
Thanks rdst_1 and Manjit for your suggestions. The Asus Lappy X550LÇ-xx39D has free DOS. What would be the approx cost to load windows 7?
