Videocon is preparing their first dual core based phablet. Dubbed the Videocon A51, this 5 incher will com equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core instead of the more popular Mediatek chipset, much like how Karbonn is playing it.

The Videocon A51 is an upcoming budget phablet by new entrant Videocon. The phablet comes powered by a rather weak Cortex A5 based Snapdragon chipset. The display is a 5 incher with FWVGA resolution, much like the Micromax Canvas 2 A110. Many other similarities reside between the two phones.

It's sad to see the Videocon A51 being stuck on Android 4.0 ICS. We hope for a Jelly Bean update for the same. Pricing and release is unknown, but it can't be that far away. Expect a Rs. 10,000 ish launch price for this upcoming phablet.
