TRAI makes all the email addresses public of those who sent about Net Neutrality

In other news, Several Banks have come together to sue TRAI for releasing email address lists for free and denying them the opportunity of selling them. Some banks are still of the strong opinion that the situation is not beyond redemption as the lists that they sell contain not only email addresses, but a lot of other details about their customers that as such hold considerable value to telemarketers and spammers.

Why would they do this.
Sarkari babus who have no idea what privacy, spam or technology means!
To quote GSMArena article:
While this could be attributed to simple stupidity rather than malice, the fact that an organization that claims to be the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India could be so utterly careless and clueless about how the internet works is just downright baffling and embarrassing. Unfortunately, the details are still posted on the company's website despite the backlash from the media and people on social networks. We won't be posting the link here to prevent further spread of private information but it shouldn't be hard to find for someone who's interested.

We are yet to hear from TRAI regarding this blunder.

It looks like somebody at TRAI didn't like the TRAI email account being bombarded with 1 million mails. So they released the email list so that the people who sent the mails would get spammed. :D

Still in all honesty, This is nothing compared to the customer data that is sold by Banks or other entities.
