also if sme is curious about modding and all it can be downgraded as phat ps3 came with 2.80 firmware so i think it can downgraded frm a modder ofcourse.

He mentioned it can be downgraded, which probably means that he has already updated the firmware and since it came with a factory firmware below 3.55, it can be downgraded via Hardware flasher. Correct me if I'm wrong OP.
 
no its not.its been update on latest one but u can downgrade it..
