Playing Region locked games on Xbox 360S [modding xbox 360s]

I have an XBOX which was bought in the US and I can't seem to play some games bought in India.

Is the new xbox 360s moddable? Any place in bangalore where I can get it done?

If not, is there a workaround for this problem?
 
You can flash the drives firmware to boot back up discs, however, it won't make the console region-free. The only 360 console which can pull this off is a JTAG hacked console, which is a rare find these days. As for your current console, there is no way to get PAL discs to work on it. Most of the games are usually region free, but you can order NTSC ones online too.
