User Guides Patching and Installing Mac OS Leopard on an Intel PC

The patching has to be done from within Mac OS Tiger
things needed:

1 – The 9a581 Leopard Image
2 – Patch Files
3 – Blank DVD

· Place the .dmg on your desktop. It should be named osx-leopard105.dmg
· Extract the zip files to your desktop. Make sure all contents are on your desktop (2 PATCH FILES AND 3 FOLDERS)
· Open the 9a581-patch.sh file. This will open it in text edit
·Find the line where it says: DMG=â€/Users/XXX/Desktop/osx-leopard105.dmg†and change XXX with your username. Save and close the file.
· Open up terminal.
· In your terminal window, do a sudo –s command and enter your password.
· Type“cd desktop†in the terminal and hit enter so you can switch to ur desktop folder.
· Tpe ./9a581-patch.sh. The patch will now run and will take its time to patch
· After the patching is completed you will see a Leo_Patched_DVD.iso image file inside the 9a581-patch folder. The size will be something 4.37GB. The patch removes some of the junk from the dvd.
. Now Burn the Image to a Blank DVD

Installation

.Make sure you have a partition that is greater then 7GB to install this on
.Boot From the DVD and install Leopard as usual. Un-select printer drivers/languages/xcode, etc
.After you install Leopard, Boot from the DVD, and when the Welcome Screen shows up, open Terminal from under Utilities.
. “cd†to the 9a581-patch folder. it would be better if u kept a copy of this on some USb drive
.Type Now type ./9a581-PostPatch.sh and let the patch finish doing its work.
. After patching you will be asked to reboot, so reboot.
. If after you reboot you encounter any problems use -v to determine the error
