They are still around?! Long back when I was more in touch with Linux, this was the one distribution that didn't allow me to completely alienate myself from Linux. Back in those days, this was far more user friendly than any of its ilk

well weird as it may sound I was never able to go past the loading screen on any mandriva release . Hope this release brings some good news looking forward to try it .

hmm.. i have downloaded it already, but no way to install from usb stick... can anyone help me on this front ?

1. Mandriva USB Installer

2. Unetbootin

3. dd if=/path/to/the/iso off=/dev/deviceid

i need to know what apps do i need to install for it to work with my nokia phone (c5-00) for connecting to the internet?
sorry linux noob here. :ashamed:
also some essential apps for daily needs be enlisted pls
