Android installing applications on Lenovo Tab

Hi, I have got a Lenovo Idea Tab A 1000 but I'm unable to install any application on it and it is sitting idle. I Shall be grateful to receive any and all help in this matter.I can't set even its time and date. Detailed instructions will be highly helpful. Thanks.

How are you trying to install? Sideloading will require you to enable unverified sources in the settings.
