I'm network specialist . i'm looking for job in US while i'm in India. It is big trouble to find the h1b sponsoring companies. I tried looking for h1b sponsors on typical job site but almost all job descriptions says they will not sponsor h1 visa.

How to find the H1B sponsor companies

Dude first get interviewed by the company and pass all the rounds and then they arrange everything that you need to get settle in the US.
From your sides you just need to have a valid passport.

To get interviewed i need to apply somewhere right .I want to know if there is any site or forum where i need to apply for jobs to be found by H1B sponsoring companies. I applied on normal job portals so far from there i have not find any company ready to sponsor H1B visa.

I get calls for opening in US/UK/Gulf etc. and they are ready to arrange everything but only upon passing the interview. These jobs are outsourced to our local regional consultancies and we are contacted by them. The interviews are conducted in our local area itself followed by a video conference with the foreign team. I remember one of my college mate who did Cisco certification & got call for an opening in Canada and he got interviewed in Indore. So just for interview he traveled from Mumbai to Indore. But then it was totally worth as that guy was selected & worked in US for 2 years and then returned back to India.

I have signed on naukri.com etc. and some 50 other similar job sites round the world which I dont even remember.:bag:

Don't expect you getting a direct call from the US or etc. unless you are applying on their job portals.

My friends bro and sis are settled in US and UK since past 5-6 years and they also went through the same route which I mentioned here.

Also if you are a fresher consider gaining first hand experience in India itself, its not that bad place to start if you are thinking so. I'm also from IT but have no interest looking for or to move to other countries. We got ample of job opportunities and salaries here, only thing is to find that opportunity or deal to crack down!!;)

Thanks for your reply. I'm no fresher i have around 6-7 yrs of experience but recently i'm not getting much hike in India. I cracked around 4-5 successful interview for MNC's but nobody was ready to offer me decent hike.

I'm looking for job outside India because my job role become more related to Data center. In India there are very few good data centers so eventually no demand for my profession here so not getting good hike

Oh! Then keep trying abroad but meanwhile update your profile accordingly on job portals and also look for US job portals and sign up there as well.

you need to find consultants who'd apply for (sponsor) H1B on your behalf, like the ones in your inbox. these consultants have their representatives in respective countries who'd help you in getting interviewed in the foreign land. once you are able to find a suitable job for yourself, they'll relieve you from their payroll. each consultant would have their own T&Cs.

isn't there any onsite opportunity from within your current company?

Here's my two bits:
1. Wait till November there will be lots of consultants on Linkedin who will charge some amount and get you a H1B. Do remember:
a. charging money for h1 is illegal so be wary of most of these consultants, do your home work and get the company names - there are sites like: myvisajobs/redbus2us to look up company names who have applied for h1's last year and only prefer ones who have some experience under their belt.
b. The real kicker is you won't get much salary (even with your expectation of good hike) when doing something like this. If say your on par salary is 100k, they tend to offer 70-80k, you know why hire you for the same salary if you can get local talent for same money. (this is applicable for all countries where some kind of sponsorship is required to hire you).

2. You can also apply for visas to countries like Canada/Australia where they don't really have a sponsorship program. You can apply for a visa and go there to search a job. In that case you need to have money on hand to support yourself in case job search takes too long.

There is a third option. Create a profile on gulf jobs/monster ME/Singapore. There are jobs aplenty there and they will sponsor you too. These places are much easier for job + onsite experience.

Frankly, the best option is to stop looking for a decent hike and negotiate a visa sponsorship with the service companies. Each of them have their own "burn-in" period before they apply it for you but then you can get commitments at the time of joining.

I don't know about your field, but I can share what I know about Software Engineering jobs.

The problem with the H1B system is that it only has a specific time for applications every year, and even then, applications are granted through a lottery which does not guarantee success. Most companies look to fill immediate requirements and hiring through H1B is not an option for them. If you really want to come to the US, consider doing an M.S. here (At departments like INI at CMU maybe). There is a special quota for US M.S. students among H1B applications, and you can go through the university recruiting process.

Otherwise, you could consider other countries. I am sure Data Centre jobs are popular in Canada, Europe and other places.

Even i am looking for an H1B sponsor for 2015 2016. I contacted Max consultants hyderabad. However after seeing lot of complaints on them i have taken a step back. Now back to square one. I am currently into SAP BI/BW.

Basically you can look up companies on redbus2us to see their track record. From what I looked up here's what max consulting (not sure if same company):

So last successful was in 2009 that too only 5 for an average sal of 50k.

Actually these consultancies are middle men. They try to find a sponsor for us. Max consultnancy is one of those types. So the one you mentioned is not the one i am referring. anyways thanks for the informaion.

I got call from GlobalDataMart.
Do any one ware of this consultancy?
They are saying 70-30 share in salary but I'm more concerned about review which I didn't find anywhere?
Also, consultant is saying they don't have time and we need process immediately and asking me transfer $5000 which would be refunded if lottery fails with some deductions.

I have gone through redbus and they have good record, they don't pay much but never denied visa.

Please help me in getting some good consultancies.

$5k is common for consultants to demand for filing for an H1. Once you pay 5k, they connect you with their lawyer who will be handling your case (as well as other like you) who will ask for your docs, prepare your documentation/paper work etc. They time your application process such that it reaches on April 1st. After USCIS does the lottery it takes some time to get to know what happened. If you go thru, you will be assigned a "Case#" by the USCIS. If not, they will return your application along with the fees paid. Based on your agreement with your consultant, you will get back the money. Typically, consultants deduct the lawyer fees and give back the rest. Take care of the following -
1. Ensure the consultant has "good" reviews in redbus, h1bwiki, goolti etc
2. If possible find somebody who is working for them and call them and enquire. You can ask the employer for some references as well.
3. Check their "success rate" and "failure rates"
4. Ask them how they are planning to file your H1. Is it using a "Client Letter" or "as an employee of the company". If you have client letter, the chances of getting an "RFE" request for evidence is less, meaning success rate is high since the consultant can prove that they have a job for you and needs you. If they say they will file as an internal employee, then the company has to prove that they have sufficient work and business to hire you "within their company".
5. Ask them about what happens after you get your visa. There will be client interviews, for sure. But i am talking in terms of relocation - flight tickets, temp accommodation etc.
6. Be patient! The entire process takes atleast 6 months to complete. The earliest date when you can get your visa is october. Realistic time to go to US is Jan. Usually Nov/Dec is low time and less projects and hiring. If you think its too long a wait, ask for your employer/consultant for premium processing which gets the results faster.

Remember there 2 "most" important docs which USCIS will check for -
1. Client Letter or a project portfolio which proves the company has sufficient work for you.
2. Company Tax papers - this is very important if the company is a small entity. The companies usually provide this, but just in case.

Hope this helps.

Have you done German language course or passed the language certifications?
I was thinking of doing my masters in Germany and everyone said that even if the course is offered in English, it is better to know German language as everyone will be speaking in that language.

Hi hotshot

You can ask me any question regarding applying to Germany, as I had applied and got admission to German universities. Due to some personal prob I dint go but have frnds who are there doing their masters. And yeah if u want to look for job after master, it is advised that u know German at B1 level.

Hi Suds,
the requirements you want are good pay with scope for growth right?
is there any specific reason you want to work only in the US?
there are other countries you can work in without the visa hassle.
Another option would be to look for companies that have clients in the us and are sending people there regularly.
