PC Peripherals Headphone amplifier

Hi guys,

I connect my headphone directly to my Xbox 360 via the RCA cable.
The max volume coming out from the headphone is barely audible for some games.

So, basically what I need is some kind of volume amplifier that can boost the max volume coming out of my headphone.
I tried the normal amplifiers for speakers but it didn't work...maybe due to the fact that they were made for speakers and not for headphones.

Can somebody please suggest me some good but cheap ( <$50) volume booster/ amplifier for headphone.

I am in the same boat. (Xbox 360 --> Headphones) But thankfully my Pro 2 PH-1000 headphones are very easy to drive and they are decently loud.

ahaan CMoy amplifier.
I had just checked the guide before creating this post. But it looked quite complicated to me. Also somewhere it was mentioned that don't expect to make a perfect amp in first try and also the required parts looked difficult to find here in India.
