I have a Dell studio xps 1647. Its 3 year old laptop and out of warranty. Its working fine but problem comes when i start watching movies on my laptop. It heats up and at times leaves my computer unusable(read non-responsive). I have tried cleaning the fan and the exhaust vents but to no use, probably it needs a new thermal paste. The area near the trackpad and the space for palms get really heated up. The roaring of the fan is very much audible.
I aint good being Mr. Fixit with the laptops, so i was wondering if I could get this done from a professional who would also do some cleaning/servicing. Can anyone help me with an appropriate, well-versed person? Getting it serviced from dell service centre would be the best option. I reside in Mumbai, Borivali.
