Data Transfer through Router

Guys wanna know how to transfer data between computer and laptop through router. Im using Netgear WGR614 v7 on windows 7(both computer and lappy).Please can anybody help me by posting step by step process then it will be great.

If you guys are using Win 7, it should be very easy. First, rename the home network to a common name ( if not already ) in both the machines. Then you should see each from the other machine in the Network folder.

Now upon clicking the icons ( in the network folder ), you will get to open the shared folders/drives. So share the drives/folders where to/from you want to transfer your data and you are good to go. :)
