Introduction
Antec have sent their latest released mid tower cabinet Gx700 for review. The GX700 is a military themed case. The cabinet is a full featured case with nine drive bays, including four tool-less 5.25†bays, and five 3.5â€/2.5†tool-less HDD bays.
The GX700 has support for larger graphics cards and CPU coolers and can accommodate GPUs up to 293mm long and CPU coolers 172mm in height. The cabinet stock cooling system includes two 140mm top mounted fans, one 120mm rear fan, and support for water cooling. The front panel provides two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, audio jacks, and a fan controller mounted to the top of the case. Specifications mentioned below:-

Exterior
Antec package their case in a brown box, pretty standard for most cases with a picture of Gx700 in the front of the box. Inside the box, the only accessories are the screws and fittings necessary for installation and an installation guide.
The exterior design of the Antec GX700 has a distinct military theme, using a combination of black and dark green in the finish of the case. The main chassis of the case is constructed from steel, although the front panel of the case is plastic
The intake grate can be removed by removing the four thumbscrews at its corners and under which you’ll find a removable plastic filter.
The front of the case features four 5.25″ drive bays then a large red power button and a front air intake vent with room for two 120 mm fans.
Drive bays have a quick release design by releasing the clamps cover can be removed before sliding drive in it.
At the top GX 700 has the USB and audio ports as well as a fan controller.
There are two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports as well as a mic and headset jack. Flip open this plastic cover and you have access to the integrated fan controller.
At the top the case has a large exhaust vent which is populated with two 140 mm Antec fans.
Round at the back of the case there are two tubing holes at the top. A standard IO shield location and seven PCIe slots that are covered with a plastic cover over the mounting ends.
The right side of the Gx700 has just a flat plain simple steel panel.
While the other side is also same and has flat plain, simple steel panel with one 120mm fan mount area.
At the bottom the case has another removable dust filter there, along with four plastic feet.
Interior
The case has tool-free installation mechanisms for the 5.25″ bays and also the 5 drive trays.
Back shield cutout for mounting CPU coolers is also large which is good.
The expansion slot covers are reusable and is held by a thumbscrew with a plastic cover at mounting ends.
Antec installs two 140mm top fans and a 120mm exhaust fan.
Tool free brackets are installed on the 5.25" bays and beneath them there are five drive trays.
System Installation
Summary
The Antec GX700 is really impressive case with great military styling, especially considering the price which is 4425 (MRP) approx. Even being under the budget case the GX700 has a number of high end features like space for a 280 mm radiator at the top, dust filters, integrated fan controller etc.
Overall, it`s a good looking case with fine build quality and plenty of flexibility for entry level gamers and enthusiasts on a budget.
