Airtel broadband in Ubuntu Karmic Koala

how difficult is it to install airtel broadband connection in ubuntu.

If anyone can give a working step by step guide (working is the key) else I will have to
remove ubuntu and get myself an windows installation.

This is urgent and some replies will be solicited

I don't understand you don't have to do any setup to get broadband working.

Just plug in the LAN wire into ethernet port and you are done.

Only problem could be that it might not have drivers but that is highly unlikely

No need to do anything everything should work out of the box.

Am i missing something here

If you are using the old dialer for broadband you just need save that user name and password on your ADSL modem and then you should be able to just plug and play as gauviz mentions

even i use ubuntu and i did not find any difficulty. Straight out after installation the internet worked

Tthe modem they give you actually runs a mini-linux called busybox
