I have a 2 year old Viewsonic 22" LCD panel which a few days back was repaired by their engineer - problem was caused because of heat inside the monitor, 5 capacitors had leaked. This even tough I have a table fan blowing air on to the back of the panel from 6 inches distance !! My panel too...

PC Peripherals Good experience with Viewsonic A.S.S.

Last week I had a problem with my Viewsonic 2245 monitor flashing white screens during shut down / power off procedures. I phoned the Viewsonic toll free number 1800119999 and was promised a visit by an engineer within 2 working days, and sure enough the person was here on the second day, he...

    bpl refrigerator gasket

I have this same 180L fridge and got the gasket changed by BPL about 2 years back - I cannot rememberer how much we paid, they did a decent job. At that time the engineer tried his best to convince us that the fridges compressor needed replacement but I did not agree and the cooling is still as...

    CPU/Mobo Mobo help: ASUS P5Q vs. EP45-UD3R

The only thing I do not like about the Biostar TPI45 is the location of the IDE connector, if you use an IDE drive then the IDE cable will travel across the MoBo and over the SATA connector and will make for untidy cable management. Prefer boards with a IDE connector on edge of board. I had...

    Storage Solutions SATA Controller

Recently I installed for a friend an IOGEAR 2 port SATA controller - paid Prime 3200/- for it. Very good quality and rock solid performance. It is running a 1TB and a 250GB HDD. This is a PCIE 1x card.

    CPU/Mobo Mobo help: ASUS P5Q vs. EP45-UD3R

I have the Gigabyte EP45-UD3R board since about 3 months, it is very solid and trouble free, never had a system lockup. I dont overclock so cannot comment on this. I like the way the BIOS updates from a pendrive with just one key press. I had checked out the ASUS P5Q when I got my board and...

    LG AC service issues

My 3 AC's have always been serviced by the engineer's from shop from whom I bought them - I think that is the way it is normally done.

Storage Solutions Suggest Good DVD Writer

My friends IDE LG DVD writer gave some trouble last week, so I took it across to Prime who said that LG normally return the drive in 2 days with the same drive case but a replaced mechanism and PCB. I got the writer back in 2 days and it has worked fine since then.

Storage Solutions Best Brand for Pendrive

^^^ I agree 100% !! I had a 8gb Corsair which used to write at low speeds and it used to stop and start during file copying - gave it for RMA and 7 days later I got a replacement which is no better :@ I have a 4gb Buffalo which copies small files at least 5 times faster then the Corsair.

WTB: Thermalright Bolt-thru kit for LGA 775 (Urgently)

Thanks for the info - I learned something new today !! I will try this sometime in the future :) I HATE THE INTEL PUSH PIN HS ATTACHMENT METHOD - Once when the computer was running I had a HS's pin pop out of the socket because a finger accidentally put a little pressure on it :@

WTB: Thermalright Bolt-thru kit for LGA 775 (Urgently)

@kandissa Are you looking to use the Thermalright 775 bolt thru kit with the stock Intel cooler ? I dont think this will work !! The stock cooler will not attach with the Thermalright kit, they are made differently.
