Who says you cannot forward your ports on PPPoE connection type?

I am using MTNL connection with same out of the box settings as yours and I was able to forward my ports successfully. Just set up a static IP for your machine. Go to PortForward.com - Port Forwarding Guides Listed by Manufacturer and Model to know the how to specific to your modem type.

Also forward a port number that is less than 65000

    dude

    u can definitely port forward,

try http://192.168.1.1/main.html and go to NAT option there u can enter a new 5 digit port no. and use tcp/udp in drop down option when u entering port.

if u still not finding option to get into the NAT use telnet command in CMD or use third party Telnet software like Putty or u can search other one in google.

i hope, ur prob will bw solved, all the best!
