hi guys, i want to buy a 150cc bike and am pretty much set on getting a FZ.. Problem is some say that they are getting a mileage of 40kmpl and some say that FZs give only 20-25kmpl.. Dont know which one is true. I ll be driving at 40-50kmph in city for 20 kms each day.. how much mileage will i likely get? Thanks in advance for your replies..

the mileage of FZ will vary from 35-42 depending on your riding style.

But the way u r mentioning it u shud get ~40.

20-25 kmpl claims are atrocious. It means that the rider is ripping her apart + bike needs service BIG time

Go ahead and buy it if mileage was the only concern.

i think its 35-40, heard from friends. Go for Hero Honda or Honda bikes. I personally use Unicorn Dazzler and the current average after 2 years is 58-59

My friend using Hero Honda Hunck and he is getting the same avg as the engine is almost same.

Recently i went for a 1000 km bike trip with FZ, I was a pillion so need to share the petrol cost... For full tank it gives 400 km (According to me around 30 kmpl)

In short for a petrol of Rs 900, we got 400 km. Without a pillion one can expect a little more..

Also the rear seat is not comfortable at all, may be it is meant for gals..

@ OP: Mileage is what you going to put on your bike after travelling on it for some time. I believe you want to know about fuel consumtion average then its between 35km/ L to 40 km/L

Fazer gives me 50-55 KM in Rs.100 worth of petrol.

I tested this by filling Rs.100 worth petrol, drove with trip meter set to 0, finally bike ran out of fuel at 55 KM.

So the mileage is around 35 KM per litre

FZ & Fazer have same engines & specs.
