Shock Therapy: Chevrolet Beat Launched @ Rs 3.34 Lakhs! - Autoholiks - 12 Jan 10 11:41 PM #19
chev beat is real kick a$$ I just took a test drive today great styling and satisfying power.. the top model is available for 4.4l on road
spend 20k more and make it the same as featured in Transformers 2 - 13 Jan 10 09:45 AM #20
Polo, eyes closed. Looks very much similar to the golf. Plenty of boot space. The chaps at the Expo mentioned a March launch.

Yeah, i have heard good stuff about Polo.
It is better to wait. Beat is also very good. GM India is coming up with real good cars nowadays.
There is also the Toyota Etios Coming.Last edited by pradeep200417; 13 Jan 10 at 10:26 AM.

Polo fits the price and the performance.
Etios however launches in 2011.
Chevy beat starts off at 3.25.
However i would wait to see it on roads since the tail light supposedly is as cartoony as the spark. - 16 Jan 10 02:29 PM #23
Never get Fiat... no 2nd market value, service poor.
Go for VW or Hyundai... i20 is good.. also automatic out too now i heard ? - 18 Jan 10 09:29 PM #24
i would say go for chevy's beat witnessed it in auto expo... looks promising...
etios they say it's still in concept phase wud launch it in 2011.... and about polo the price is still not confirmed for the indian market(asked the german guy at 10th auto expo)... also its not the same engine they use it in European markets, but it has a better boot space and a better leg room...... so you will have to wait and watch..
i would recommended chevy's beat seeing the current market if u are planning to buy a car in feb '10.... - 24 Jan 10 09:51 AM #25
Perfect thread for me
Looked at all the suggestions, but did not really like the Polo for some reason
Beat and Swift still @ the top for me.
BTW, before i even go for a test drive of the beat, what is the interior volume difference between the Beat and the Swift ? Is the Swift (as it looks like it) more spacious, especially in the rear seats ? As the size difference is not much.
Sorry if the questions are a bit noobish  but it may just well be my first car, and sort of a gift to my folks and myself in the next two months, so want to be perfect.
