Are there people out there still buying these 135 CC bikes?..(Apart from 40 year olds with 2 kids)..
The day when 250 CC becomes the minimum requirement for every bike in india..that day india becomes a world power...

the 135cc Pulsar perplexes the human mind. Why would someone want to bring a budget performance motorcycle into the 135cc bracket? The Pulsar now looks like a commuter thats mated with a performance bike. This is going to dilute the Pulsar brand of bikes. I thought they would take the capacity to 250 or 300 and use the Pulsar name for performance products in the future, which it truly is. Instead they've done the opposite.

IMO...the pulsar needs a major design overhaul ...if it needs to keep its market share...its not revolutionary anymore...more of very mealsy evolutionary...i guess humans evolved faster!!!!

Y r they spoiling the name of the Pulsar by launching <150 Cc bikes ? IMO 150 shud have been the minimum capacity for a Pulsar...
Its like they made a joke of us all Pulsar owners
Very bad Bajaj ! - 8 Dec 09 12:24 AM #25
thats the worst bike i've ever seen
; looks like an after market 'assembled' bike ! eeeks, whats bajaj thinking!! and giving its name "PULSAR" on top of it ! ....aaargh.
p.s nothing beats the pulsar classic with a set of mags (the streetfighter look)
i'll dig and post a pic of what i mean later on..... Last edited by thetechmind; 8 Dec 09 at 12:26 AM.

some 4-5 years back, bajaj could do no wrong - the pulsar was a runaway success. More importantly it made the brand and reached cult status. Wonder who does the marketing these days at Bajaj - why are they screwing the brand They should learn from Kawasaki (who they partner) - look at the Ninja some 7-8 years back, and look at it now - smashing. That is reverse with the Pulsar.

Sad, another 135cc commuter bike. When are we going to get performance bikes ???
@fire - Dude I hope you know that 125cc and below bikes rule the roost when it comes to sales ! 150cc bikes have picked up but are still behind 125cc bikes.
Also abroad bikes are used for fun so performance matters. Here in India for a large majority of users they are the only means of transportation available and so 100cc and 125cc bikes will rule the roost for many more years. - 9 Dec 09 12:24 AM #28is Offline Tyreboi

Bajaj is doing a Hero Honda. Flogging a dead horse. Hero HOnda did it to their engines, Bajaj is doing it to the Pulsar brand name. They are ruining it.

Crap strategy from Pulsar... Maybe it will sell lots due to the Pulsar brand.... but the Pulsar owners will surely feel the pinch n regret this decision by Bajaj...
I am one of them
