Discussion under Audio Zone, part of the Consumer Electronic and Portable Zone category on TechEnclave; hav lots of old audio cassettes, need to convert them into cd's, can anyone suggest me the best way to ...
a good quality cassette walkman or if u already have hifi system that would be enough along with a cable with heasphone jack (male probably 3.5mm at both ends) would be enough.
I used to record using jetaudio which gave pretty good results long time ago. If u need too much high end features (for refining recordings, noise cancellation, editing to great extent professional tools like soundforge etc would be required. Rememer recording from cassetes is gonna be too time consuming and manual task.
Just connect the Tape player to the Line-in jack of your soundcard/mobo ( the blue jack ) using a male-male 3.5mm jack..
Then record using something like jet audio.. later edit it into separate tracks...
This might not be to professional.. but works
