Unhappy Altec Lansing VS4121BLK buzzing sound problem

Guys,

I purchased Altec Lansing VS4121BLK 2.1 speakers for day to day use on budget.
It has been almost a month since I purchased them.

I was satisfied though I do not like puffy bass it produces.

Anyway back to point, it has suddenly started producing a humming/hissing sound whenever it is plugged and turned on.

Even without being connected to a computer it still produces it. Switching it on is what it takes for it to start the ho hum.

I googled and people suggested interference and what not to change in volume control, but the sound still pertains even when I switch the power socket to another one in 2nd room.

The sound keeps going on during playback of songs too.

Sound is more of like a gas burner going on and on.

So, are my speakers dead? What can be wrong here?
Shall i start with RMA procedure for the same.

Thanks,

^^RMA!!! looks like a problem with the speakers. You need to contact Rashi peripherals and take the speakers to their service center.
