I need a rar password recovery software/tool which will guarantedly remove or recover the password from any rar archive.
Googling around confuses with options so which one is the best as per all of your experiences?
My brother has kept all the family ceremony snaps stored in a rar file some time back during hdd backup but forgot the password.![]()

i think the password is used to encrypt the data in rar file, so its very difficult to recover. IIRC there are few software which can recover some 3-4 digit passwords but for long passwords i don't think there is any option.
Stop editing my sig :@
dont say so....there are many softwares available atleast some of them should be perfect...

Well, I've tried numerous software...
Most recover only a few letters considering they are shareware.
You need to buy them for maximum utilization.
You'll have to evaluate the top choices one by one.

if ur password is simple i.e. made of small/cap letters and/or digits (upto 6-10 char length) then u can use any rar password recovery software to find password .. my favourite one is Advanced Archive Password Recovery : Unlock password-protected ZIP, RAR, ACE and ARJ archives quickly and efficiently ... of course u might need to keep ur PC running for 2-3 days even on Quad Core
but if ur password is complex i.e. combo of small and caps as well digits and/or symbols then better forget those rar photos... or give it to some professionals who can have clusters runnings to find only password
btw ... why password was used?:@ really family memories? :cool2:

thx for all valuable suggestions.
finally after trying 5 recovery softwares which all failed, i strained my brain really hard and voila!!recalled the password. It was just 4 alpha letters.:hap2::hap2::hap2:
The password was of my xp log in a/c off old system.
I should say brain recovery is the best perfect solution in such cases.:cool2::cool2:
Time taken 13hrs. (1pm - 2am)
