Default Re: Google to release its own browser

It may be taking a bit more memory, but when I open 20-30 tabs in firefox, sometimes the browser hangs/crashes (if one of the tabs is stuck). If Chrome gets rid of that problem for me, I am moving. It will take a few of days of usage to know though.

(I hate browser crashes, especially when you are using something like tataindicom broadband which has a web page based login. )

Well to be hones I am impressed with googles browser.

It has a separate process for each page you open so no matter even if 1 crashes, others will be unaffected.

Yeah and once more, its new and in beta version, so only people with higher ram can use it flawlessly. Like I have 3gb of ram and it consumes more than 100mb ram for me but its okay with me.

lol opera wins hands down, just installed chrome and have to say the looks are pretty simple nothing much to talk bout it, the incognito feature is cool but opera already has various shortcuts for almost everything.... the only thing opera needs to work is on certain java issues... else its the best browser (atleast from my POV ).. the first thing google will have to do is look into the mem usage of chrome and device a work around for it lol

@asliladka as far as workspace is concerned there isnt much to talk bout between opera and chrome cause in opera everything is configurable except the title bar(FTM)

Posting this from Chrome now... interesting at best, nothing very earth shattering though. Nice WebKit features like being ridiculously fast, and resizable text-boxes, but meh..

For one, the default text size seemed HUGE, and had to hunt a bit on the UI to find the necessary option..

Then, wtf with the custom widgets? It looks Vista-ish on my XP laptop running an OS-X theme

Finally, TE looks weird at the default text setting - see below comparison between Firefox and Chrome.

Firefox:

Chrome:

Overall reaction: meh. Nothing too great. Wont really move from FF till I can put in add-ons..

It's there. The keyboard shortcut is the same as Firefox. Ctrl+Shift+T.
It remembers the last 10 closed, just like firefox.

The complete list of shortcuts is available here...
