A really good start, and should get most people of the starting line... repped .............. but I think it would be really great if you could explain the importance of seeds and peers a little more. If I was a noob, I would not know from this, that a torrent with 1 seed and 2 peers of 300mb could take a year to download.... or a torrent with 2 peers and no seeds may never finish downloading. This relationship is extremely important, and will save a lot of noobs from wasting their time.
Maybe in part 2 you could cover the settings for the "Global maximum number of torrents", and the "Maximum number of connected peers per torrent"
