you just have to tell him to go around the lock, he will do it properly, if you tell him to do it carefully, there wont even be a scratch, if you want to get it machine cut, you would have to buy a dremel, which will cost you around 2k, i don't know where to get it machine cut, thats why got it cut by a blade.
