I don't like the way he connected the larger caps to the board using wires. The additional impedance of the wires offsets the benefits of the larger and better caps. I'm confident the caps help, but only if properly implemented.

The satellite mods are similarly uninformed, the worst place to put damping is right behind the driver, as it restricts movement of the cone. Damping is similarly a good idea, but it needs to be placed on the sides to prevent reflections and standing waves.
